About Ashley
I am a Detroit-based contemporary impressionist painter and printmaker whose work begins with observation—of the city, familiar spaces and faces, and the subjects that intersect this season of my life.
Through expressive color and repeated marks, I give significance to experiences that can seem ordinary while we are living them. My work is particularly interested in memory, place, relationships, and the altered perspective that comes with midlife.
